The barley grass in Berry Barley Essence is grown in some of the world's most fertile soil on the Oxnard Plain near the Pacific Ocean in California. It is grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Barley grass is an exceptionally nutritious food, containing an abundance of phytonutrients including antioxidants known to protect the body from free-radical damage.

When mixed with a glass of juice or water, Green Tea Barley Essence offers a convenient chlorophyll-rich whole food with a natural balance of proteins, minerals, amino acids, active enzymes, and vitamins A, B1, B2, B3 and B6, C and E, among others.

The mild alkalinity of Green Tea Barley Essence also helps to neutralize acidity that may be caused by eating meat and fatty foods.

Researchers at such leading universities as the University of California at Davis and George Washington University have found that barley grass juice contains the potent antioxidants superoxide dismutase, glycosylisovitexin (GIV) and vitamin E succinate. Each of these important phytochemicals have been shown to help prevent oxidation caused by free-radicals.

Green Tea Barley Essence is also loaded with chlorophyll which gives barley and many other vegetables their rich green color. Chlorophyll has been shown to have cleansing and deodorizing actions.

Many amino acids, the building blocks of proteins, and numerous enzymes are also found in Green Tea Barley Essence. Our entire manufacturing process, including our temperature-controlled, spray-dry technique, has been uniquely designed to keep the nutrients and enzymes active and intact. The barley grass juice powder is also protected from oxidation by the addition of maltodextrin, a complex carbohydrate that not only stabilizes Green Tea Barley Essence, but also adds nutritive value and, unlike simple sugar, does not affect blood-sugar levels.

Suggested Use
Dissolve two teaspoons into an 8 oz. glass of water or your favorite juice. Do not take with hot liquids since heat will neutralize active enzymes. Recommended once or twice daily on an empty stomach (20 minutes before a meal). Store in a cool, dry place with lid tightly closed.
